EFT Tapping Further Learning
for Continuing Professional and Personal Development
The EFT Tapping Level 1,2 and 3 EFT training courses are the beginning of an endless journey of learning. Tapping is a seemingly simple tool and yet there is art, craft and skill in its delivery and always more to learn. This page is for you if you are already tapping and are hungry for more to further your personal and professional development.
AAMET Practitioners are now required to do 30 hours of further learning (CPD) and 12 hours of group or 6 hours one-to-one Mentoring each year.
Further Learning (CPD)
CPD is measured in hours and there is huge flexibility in what counts towards those hours. You can count anything you do that can reasonably be expected to add to your competancy as a practitioner, and you choose what to count, including:
- attending professional training (EFT or related) that could reasonably be expected to add to your competency
- repeating EFT training
- watching EFT dvds or reading books and newsletters
- EFT personal therapy
- participating in EFT discussion groups or teleconferences
Also counting towards your hours can be carrying out activity that furthers the the EFT community and/or AAMET, including:
- taking EFT into the community
- developing a specific application of EFT (e.g. for sports)
- carrying out and publishing a relevant research project
- writing contributions to a relevant book, or newsletter
- moderating an EFT forum or teleconference
You are asked to keep a record of your hours but you no longer need to report them. Trainers have been asked to call a proportion of their students each year as a random audit to ask for their CPD log. To indicate that you have understood these requirements and take responisbility for fulfilling them you will be asked to sign the AAMET Guidelines for CPD and the AAMET Code of Conduct.
Mentoring
Mentoring is now any one to one or group meeting led by a practitioner or trainer in which you can discuss your EFT work with clients, your personal development and the growth of your EFT practice, seek advice and gain support.
You are required to have 6 hours one to one or 12 hours group mentoring per year and it is up to you to choose your own mentor. This means that Tapping Groups and Tapping Buddy pairs now count towards your mentoring hours. Gwyneth and other trainers run Mentoring Circles each of those counts 6 group hours which is half your year's requirement and Retreats which count 9 hours.

Parcevall Hall EFT Retreats
Refreshed, revived, renewed, restored and inspired are words used by those who have experienced the peace and tranquility of Parcevall Hall and the transformative learning of a two day residential EFT retreat. There are only seven places on these personal and professional development retreats. We work as a group and each person gets their own session. For more see EFT Retreats with Gwyneth Moss.
Tapping for Animals
This is a day to explore, experience and learn a three stage structured approach to tapping for others - surrogate tapping - learning through work for animals. Though we don't know how it works; EFT does seem to work for Animals. We don't tap on the animal we tap with a human who knows the animal, not necessarily the owner. For articles and a free MP3 download of an animal tapping session read more...
Mentoring Circles
Mentoring Circles are intended to provide a safe and supportive forum for EFT Practitioners to share successes, unstick stuckness and to learn both from each other and from an EFT Master. Gwyneth Moss developed these circles and the role-play tapping technique to support all who are using EFT to help others. Gain six hours group mentoring credit for AAMET professional development. For more about these days see Mentoring Circles and Prices and Dates.
Telephone Mentoring/Supervision
For in depth discussion of cases, helpful ideas and individual learning Gwyneth offers mentoring sessions by skype or telephone on most Thursdays. All who have done these calls have found them to be most valuable. One hour of telephone one-to-one is worth two hours AAMET mentoring credit. Call Gwyneth on 01943 600522 to make an appointment.
Buddy Mentoring
You may wish to find a mentoring partner and do exchange mentoring as a cost effective way to complete your hours. If so read the article Support for Therapists on the articles page of this site.

The Gathering is an annual conference for tappers. This year it is in York 26/27th January 2013 at the Royal York Hotel. See www.EFTevents.com for more information and a library of previous events many with audio downloads and handouts.
