Founded in 1986 by Christine and Arthur Bailey, Ilkley Healing Centre offers practical and effective complementary therapies, training workshops and exercise classes in the heart of Ilkley. The Centre is housed in a stone built Victorian terraced house which has been converted to offer four treatment rooms and a large top floor workshop room used for meditation, yoga, pilates classes and weekend workshops. The house is much larger inside than it appears from the outside – like a tardis. Owned and managed by the Bailey Family the centre is furnished with antiques, ceramic art and paintings. The atmosphere of calm is valued by all who work or visit there. Located close to Ilkley town centre and the centre is easily accessible by car, bus, train or on foot. Appointment times can vary, including mornings, afternoons and some evening appointments. If you wish to call in to make an appointment in person or chat about the centre and our practitioners, we have reception cover from 9.00am to 5.00pm Monday to Friday. At other times there is an answer phone and calls will be returned as soon as possible. Workshops are held most weekends and you can learn Emotional FreedomTechniqes to Practitioner level, Dowsing and the use of the Bailey Flower Essences. There are regular classes in Mediation, Yoga, Pilates, Feldenkreis and the Alexander Technique. Please call for times and dates. The centre features an extensive library of books on health, nutrition, spirituality, self-development and psychology. Visitors are welcome to read in reception and to enjoy a cup of tea.
